Create an account, go to Get a Quote, select your vehicle or enter details manually, choose a service category, and describe what your car needs. Verified shops in your area will send you competitive quotes. Most shops reply within 24 hours, often sooner during business hours.

Can I compare quotes from multiple shops?

Absolutely. When you submit a quote request, multiple shops can respond with their pricing. You can compare them side by side, including labour costs, parts, and estimated completion time, before choosing the best option.

How do I book an appointment?

Choose a quote and select Book Appointment to pick an available date and arrival time. Your confirmed booking and its details are stored in your account. You may also receive email or SMS updates where those channels are available. Check your account for the current confirmation.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. Booking through CarFix does not require a deposit. You pay for the service after it is done, either directly to the shop or, where the shop offers it, online through CarFix.

What payment methods are accepted?

You pay the shop for the service. Most shops accept cash, debit, credit, or e-transfer at the appointment. Where a shop offers it, you can also pay its invoice online through CarFix: the payment is processed by Stripe and goes straight to the shop, CarFix never holds your money, and the shop may not charge more for an invoice paid online than for paying it another way. Online payment is available only for an invoice linked to your CarFix account. If you choose a pay-over-time option, the financing provider's own terms apply and can include interest or fees.

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

When rescheduling is available, request a different time from your appointment details. For a confirmed appointment, the original time remains in place until the shop approves the change. You can cancel directly in CarFix for 60 minutes after confirmation; afterward, contact the shop or support@carfix.to. The shop's notice window determines late-cancellation records. Review the displayed policy before cancelling. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may restrict future bookings.

The garage stores your vehicles with their year, make, model, and mileage. It tracks maintenance schedules, recall alerts through NHTSA, and health scores. You can add vehicles manually or by entering your VIN for automatic details.

Each shop location requires its own subscription. One subscription covers one shop.

How do payments work for shops?

You collect payment for the service from the customer, using any method you accept, such as cash, debit, credit, or e-transfer. Once online payments are available to your shop on a paid plan, including during its free trial, you can also let customers pay your invoices online through your own Stripe account, with Stripe's processing fees paid to Stripe. Online payment is offered only on invoices linked to a customer's CarFix account; customers without an account pay you directly. CarFix charges no commissions or per-lead fees and currently takes no fee from online payments. Your monthly subscription is the only payment to CarFix.

Can I cancel or resume my subscription?
