Yes. Every shop goes through an admin review process before appearing on CarFix. Shops must have an active subscription, verified identity, and complete business profile. We also display real ratings and reviews from customers.

How do I get a quote for my repair?

Create an account, go to "Get a Quote", select your vehicle (or enter details manually), choose a service category, and describe what your car needs. Verified shops in your area will send you competitive quotes. Most shops reply within 24 hours, often sooner during business hours.

Absolutely. When you submit a quote request, multiple shops can respond with their pricing. You can compare them side by side, including labour costs, parts, and estimated completion time, before choosing the best option.

After accepting a quote, click "Book Appointment" to open the calendar. Pick a date and a 30-minute time slot within the shop's hours. Your confirmed booking is stored in your account, and we send the confirmation by email and SMS.

No. Booking through CarFix does not require a deposit. You pay the shop directly at the appointment.

Payment for the service is arranged directly with the shop at the appointment. Most shops accept cash, debit, credit, or e-transfer, depending on the shop's preference. CarFix does not collect or process payments for repair services.

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Yes. You can cancel from your Appointments page. We ask that you cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment so the shop can release the slot. Late cancellations and no-shows are recorded on your account, and repeat issues can result in restrictions on appointment booking privileges. To reschedule, cancel the current appointment and pick a new time slot.

How does the vehicle garage work?

The garage stores your vehicles with their year, make, model, and mileage. It tracks maintenance schedules, recall alerts (via NHTSA), and health scores. You can add vehicles manually or by entering your VIN for automatic details.

What is included in each plan?

Free includes your shop listing, shop profile updates, and Google profile sync. Growth adds quote marketplace access, appointments and bookings, digital vehicle inspections, warranty management, and the customer dashboard. Pro adds team management for up to 5 members, storage for parts and tires, inventory management, and the Promotions program (up to 5 per week). Elite adds analytics and city benchmarks, raises the team dashboard to 10 members per shop, and raises the Promotions allowance to 10 per week. Each shop location requires its own subscription - one plan covers one shop.

How do payments work for shops?

You collect payment for the service directly from the customer at the appointment, using whatever method you accept (cash, debit, credit, or e-transfer). CarFix does not sit in the middle of service payments, does not charge commissions or per-lead fees, and does not take a cut of what the customer pays you. The only money that flows through CarFix is your monthly subscription fee, billed to you by us.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. You can change your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Can I manage my team on CarFix?

Yes - Pro includes up to 5 team members and Elite includes up to 10 per shop. You can invite staff by email, assign Manager or Staff roles, and control what they can access on your shop dashboard. Free and Growth plans do not include team seats.

What is the digital vehicle inspection?

During a repair, you can create a digital inspection with photos, findings, and a body diagram. This is shared with the customer so they can see exactly what was found and approve or decline additional work. DVI is included in Growth, Pro, and Elite plans.
