How do I get a quote?

Create an account, explain what your vehicle needs, and verified shops can offer quotes with upfront pricing.

Do I need an account to look for shops?

No. You can browse shops, read reviews, and view available services without logging in. For quote requests and appointments, an account is necessary.

How soon will I have a quote?

Most shops reply within 24 hours, often sooner during business hours. You'll be notified by email as soon as a quote becomes available.

Can I cancel my appointment?

Yes. You can cancel your appointment through your Appointments page. Early cancellation gives shops time to fill the spot.

Is my quote binding?

Your quote is a tentative estimate based on the information provided. Shops will contact you if additional issues come up during inspection.

How are shops verified?

Every shop goes through manual verification before being added to the website, which includes business verification, service verification, and location verification.

What if I have a bad experience?

Contact us for support and our team will investigate. Shops who don't meet quality guidelines will be penalized.

Where is CarFix currently available?

CarFix is currently available in Ontario. We expand coverage carefully as more verified shops join the platform.

How do I add my shop?

Sign up as a shop owner, fill out your information, and get verified. You can review the public Shop Owner Guide before signing up to understand the setup path, calendar, revenue, inventory, team management, messages, warranties, plans, and billing.

How do I respond to requests for quotes?

Requests will show up on your dashboard. You can open the request, read the details and reply by quoting a price.
